FROM MY DESK TO YOURS #12

Dear St. Paul Families and Friends:

What a great evening for Trunk or Treat! Thank you to the many people who were involved in making this evening a fun one for our families in the parish. Events like this take many hands and a lot of work but nothing seems to phase our parents! They always pull through for our families and for this I am grateful.

This week will be a busy one with our PTO meeting on Tuesday evening and then the Walk-a-thon on Wednesday morning followed by the Halloween parties in the afternoon. The Walk-a-thon is a tradition at St Paul and the students always look forward to it. It is a service project for Juvenile Diabetes and St. Paul is always very generous for this cause. We have a few students who have been diagnosed with this and St. Paul is always willing to support them and this cause.

Preschool – fifth grade will be celebrating in the afternoon with Halloween Parties and our Middle School will celebrate the holiday with our annual Costume Contest. Come and celebrate with us!

We will be off school on Thursday, November 1st in honor of All Saint’s Day which is a Holy Day of Obligation for all Catholics. Please check the bulletin for the Mass schedule.

We will be back to school on Friday for Picture Day, so this is an automatic dress down day for all students. Just a reminder to all, we are into the month of November and as of November 1st shorts are no longer permitted as a part of the students’ uniform. (They will be back on the dress code on April 1st) As the weather changes, so does our dress code at St. Paul.

That’s it for this week. I am off to a Halloween Parade with the grand-kids! It’s always fun seeing them dressed in their costumes. Until next week,

With blessings from my heart,
Fran
