Dear St. Paul Parents and Friends,
I hope this finds each of you enjoying your weekend and time with your families. One week left until Catholic Schools Week, Open House, and Registration. The staff and parents are working feverishly to make this years “Catholic Schools Week” better than ever. You should be receiving a schedule of events later this week so please keep a look out for this information. I will also send a Fast Direct with our schedule, and we will place it on links.
Along with Catholic Schools week comes Registration. I am pleased to announce that Registration this year will be on-line. Just think, no more filling out the same forms!!! You will also receive a letter from Father Mike explaining our tuition rates and the changes that are happening in that arena.
One of the most important announcements that I have to make is the change in the Financial Aid applications AND the addition of more scholarship opportunities for middle income families of both elementary and high school students. Our Archdiocese realizes the financial strain that many of our families and parishes are feeling with the rising costs of education. Because of this, they have developed some additional opportunities for financial assistance to ALL families. For the 2016-17 school year there is over 2 million dollars available in scholarship money!!! WOW!!!
Here is a snapshot of the changes in the application process:
Financial Aid requests must be made between the dates of February 1 – 29th.
Applications will be completed on-line.
There are a variety of financial programs available to you … not just Alive in Christ as in previous years.
There is only one application to submit for all tuition assistance awards.
Upon submitting the application, the Financial Aid Department at the Archdiocese will process your form and notify you which programs have been awarded to your family. (That’s right … you may receive aid from a number of programs … not just one depending on your family situation!!!!)
There is now a Financial Aid Program for those students attending private Catholic High Schools. (This is new and exciting)
We will have two evening dates scheduled in case people need assistance or the use of technology to submit your applications. We will announce the dates next week.
At the bottom of this page, I have linked all of the information about these opportunities. Please take the time to read this information. I think many of you will be surprised at the changes and opportunities for our families. I am encouraging every school family to apply … it is a painless process and could make a difference in your tuition for next school year. Until next week …
With blessings from my heart,
