“The Heart of St. Paul … Growing Together in Faith, Knowledge, and Virtue”
________________________________________

Dear Lord,
Through the darkness, I look for your wisdom.
I want my heart to be open to you.
But sometimes in these days, it seems that
so many things come between us.
Help me to be awake and aware
of the radiance you bring to my life.
Help me to be grateful each day
for the blessings of family and friends.
Let me be a peacemaker
in my own life, and in the world.
Let me pray especially for this difficult world
and those who are so in need of an end to violence.
My heart begs for this as my Advent prayer today.

Dear St. Paul Parents and Friends:

Happy Monday! WEW … what a busy week we have ahead of us!! It seems as if every day has a special theme to it. It’s a sign of the season.

We had our second Advent prayer service this morning. Our Student Leadership Council are acting as prayer leaders and are doing a magnificent job. We will have our mitten/hat tree up by Thursday and hope to start receiving decorations/donations of hats and mittens by the end of the week. We also have a tree in front of the office. The students decorate this tree with ornaments made in their classrooms. I love seeing the original designs of our students. Every year they are more and more creative. You can tell how proud they are as they walk past the tree and look for their ornaments. This is my favorite season of the year!!

I would like to thank the parents who have returned their “Intent to Return Forms.” We have a little over half of the families respond last week. Please remember that we would like to have all forms returned by Friday, December 9th. The more accurate our numbers are the easier it is to create a budget and staffing for next year. Also, please remember that this gives us your intention. No checks or registration fees are due now. Registration is at the end of January when we get back from break. Last year we had a 90% accurate count and my hopes are that we can beat that percentage this year.

Just a reminder that All School Mass will be on Thursday this week due to the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, a holy day of obligation. Come and join us as we celebrate this feast.
Until next week,

With blessings from my heart,
Fran
