“The Heart of St. Paul … Growing Together in Faith, Knowledge, and Virtue”

Teacher’s Serenity Prayer

Please God grant me,
Serenity to appreciate the unique gifts
of my students,
Courage to challenge them
To do their very best.
And Wisdom to help them
Become all that You created them to be.
Amen

Dear St. Paul Parents and Friends,

Welcome to our last trimester of the 2015-16 school year. Each trimester goes by faster and faster for us at St. Paul. Before we know it; it will be May and we will be looking at Graduation and St. Paul Homecoming.

CONFERENCES: This Thursday we will be conducting our second Parent/Teacher Conference session. All conferences will be held in the homeroom classrooms including our Middle School Conferences. If you have not yet signed up for a conference time, please do so as soon as possible. If for some reason you cannot be at your assigned time, please notify your classroom teacher so that they can plan accordingly.

Our hopes are that when you leave this conference you will have a higher level of understanding about your child as a learner. Also we want you to celebrate your child’s successes. I have been reviewing the grade reports as the teachers are completing them and have been very impressed by the amount of progress our children have made in their independent assessments as well as the learning target areas.

REGISTRATION UPDATE: At this point we have 178 students (115 families) who have begun the registration process for the 2016-17 school year. Please remember that the registration fee discount ends on February 29th. Beginning March 1st the registration fee for families will be $250. I am hoping that our families will take advantage of this discounted registration fee. Also, don’t forget about the scholarship opportunities that are being offered through the Archdiocese. The application process for these scholarships ends on February 29th. For those parents who have students in high school or just entering high school, there are scholarships available for your student also. This is a new opportunity for our families who have high school students. My hopes are that you will all take advantage of it.

Please be reminded that enrollment dictates our staffing for next year so it is crucial that you let us know your intentions as soon as possible, so that we can plan our staffing accordingly.

Hope to see you at conferences on Thursday. Until then …

With blessings from my heart,
Fran
