“The Heart of St. Paul … Growing Together in Faith, Knowledge, and Virtue”
St. Paul … Pray for us
Dear St. Paul Families and Friends:
I was so pleased to see so many parents come out for St. Paul Curriculum Evenings. It was the perfect opportunity to share personally the how’s and the why’s for some of our new programming at school. It never seems as if I have enough opportunities to share these things personally, so Curriculum Night was the perfect venue. I hope everyone gleaned great information and understandings from our classroom teachers. It sounds as if the Middle School set up was more informative for parents and I have gotten some positive feedback. It’s always a challenge to set the schedule so that parents can attend the grade levels of their children. If you have any suggestions as to how to make this evening even better; I am all ears. Just send me a FD.
This Tuesday, I will have received the applications of students running for Student Leadership Council officers. If your child is considering running in the election, please make sure they have their applications to me by Tuesday at 3:00 pm. The students may begin to hang posters this Wednesday and they will remain up until after the election on September 17th. Make sure they follow the instructions on the SLC forms that I gave them. Just an FYI, due to a scheduling conflict and Grandparent’s Day, speeches will be given on Thursday, September 13th instead of this coming Friday, September 7th.
PTO has pushed back their first meeting until October instead of September. That way I can share the results of ITBS testing with you. The scores should be back by then. On Tuesday, September 4th is our first Raffle Ticket drawing, so don’t miss out on the first drawing. Tickets will continue to be sold through the month of September, but you know the saying, “The early bird catches the worm”. If you want to see Father Callahan and myself in a Field Day Dunking Booth … sell, sell, sell those tickets. It should be a sight for sore eyes!!!!
Gradebook will be open for all grade levels this Tuesday.
Enjoy the three-day weekend and I will see everyone back to school on Tuesday. Until then,
With blessings from my heart,
HATS OFF TO THE FOLLOWING:
